Treo 650 users...two "killer" applications
to make TT'ing even better. (I had to insert the obligatory TT content so the censors/owners here don't nuke the thread!)
1. <a href="http://home.triad.rr.com/rlwhitt/palm/#da">Directory Assistant </a> This application "front-ends" the mobile version of yp.com and privides a great GUI to find personal and business phone numbers, reverse phone number look-up, driving directions and maps. It is nicely integrated into the phone and PIM functions of the device. Just d/l the prc file and install to your phone and you can be up and running right away.
2. <a href="http://www.alealea.com/">KMaps </a>
Is an interface to the Google Maps services that Google has also made available to application developers. You can find locations, create driving directions, scroll maps, etc., just like at maps.google.com. Since the application is Java-based, you will need to d/l and install the Java run-time environment to your phone the first time you install the application. The install process for KMaps walks you through how to do this.
Enjoy both of these applications. If you travel or work the phone a lot and need access to the web when you are on the run in your TT, these two apps are indispensable as it is just too cludgey to access this same data from the source web sites via the phone's web browser. Think about donating a few bucks to the authors if you like the programs.
Cheers and have fun.
