Trying to post pics of my (long-ago) wreck
Back in early November, my then 7-week old TTR met a concrete barrier at high speed. I'm not sure how fast, but probably 50. This is the result.
Fortunately, the TTR is a piggy for a reason. It's a tank. I walked away with no injuries except a few cuts on might right hand which hit the dashboard.
The accident was not my fault (so say the cops). Amazingly, although it's a rare combo my dealer had an identical car (desert green/amber) coming in and I managed to get the replacement by mid-January.
Most impressive of all, however, was the effect on Dad. He was, of course, against my buying the TT (I guess as long as you're under 30 you have to be prepared for that). But, after hearing of the wreck and finding out how well the car survived, he said "well, may as well get another one."
BTW, does anyone know if Janet ever got a replacement for Fritz. And there was another TTC wrecked in a collision with a van (can't remember who), anybody know who that was and whether they got a replacement?

Pic #3, the inside.

Also, like the way the Chicago streets department decided to just pile all the rubble and debris inside the car? You can't really see it, but they piled a bunch of the cement knocked off the barrier into the interior. Nice. (I kept a piece of it though, as a little reminder.)
