Default Trying to remove one side of front bumper to remove grill...

<center><img src="http://www.wak-tt.com/mods/angeleyes/eclipse_lights_howto/DSCN6708.JPG"></center><p>and was wondering what is the easiest way to remove these two screws. Seems like the intercooler is in the way of the bottom screw. TIA

Default Deep well 10 mm socket with 1/4 drive and extension. It will just get past the bracket.

Tools I use:

<img src="http://images106.fotki.com/v506/photos/4/435091/1772664/22Bumpernutremovaltool-vi.jpg">

This is a 3/8" ratchet and extension with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter at the tip. If you ahve 1/4" extension and ratchet that would work fine. The main thing is to use a 1/4" drive deep well socket, as it is a smaller OD than a 3/8" drive.

ON the lower nut (other side, but same difference):

A universal joint also helps. Wrap it w/electric tape to stiffen it a little.

Default I was looking at the space between the intercooler and bracket...>>>

and I don't think there is anyway of getting anything between there to reach the screw on the bottom. It looks a small space between the two that I can barely get my fingers through. Maybe the driver's side is different?

Default It works, I have done it MANY times - on both sides...

You finger is bigger than a 1/4" drive socket.<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/mcphill/audi_stuff/lighting_systems/osirdesign_smoked/">The whole process...</a></li></ul>
