How much to the Catalunya 18x8 weigh, and do you have any R-compounds?

Default no R-compounds stocked here

you could order some through Tire Rack via the link on Achtuning.com and have them sent to us to be mounted and balanced on your order.

I don't have the weight information yet but will post when it is available.

Default This is not at all intended to be rude, so please don't take it as such...

Previously, I had a set of TSW wheels on my Corrado. Mind you, this was back in '99 or so, but I found them to be INCREDIBLY soft and very prone to bending.

Clearly, the prices are fantastic, but I'm wondering if their build quality has improved.

Can you speak to that, Skyler?

Thank you!

Default Well I have used a set of TSWs on my Audi since 2001

My personal experience with them (TSW Revos) has been on my 84 Audi coupe, I'm using a 17" wheel with a 205-40-17 tire (extremely little sidewall) dropped on coilovers, I've put about 40-50k miles on them and taken some hard hits (made the wheel ring like a bell) with no bends. I can certainly understand your concern though. I don't know if the Catalunya or Volcano specifically has a reputation as a strong or weak wheel.

I'm hoping myself that they are strong as I'm planning on using the Catalunyas on my 91 V8q with H&R sport springs which is a very heavy car so in the end I'm in the same boat and hoping for the best!

Default Thanks for the honest answer!!

Revos were actually the wheels that I specifically had issues with, also in 17" flavor and with the same tire size.

Granted, I was dealing with Ohio roads, and those can be particularly brutal.

Again, thanks a lot!!

Default Had a set of the Sevens from TSW and liked them. Lighter than OEM by a few, too.

Put about 40K on them w/o complaint.
