TT - Engine tick, is it normal?
I have a 2002 tt 225 quattro.
There seems to be a engine tick when I am in idle. I rev it a bit and the tick gets faster. I believe it goes away at higher rmp's.
It appears to be right on top of the engine.
Is this normal? I have 8k on the car.

Try pushing down on the round black gizmo right in front of the DV
... I think it's called the Cylinder block breather pressure regulating valve. The clamps on mine where quite loose. I pushed it down a little w/ the motor running, tightened the clamps which where the screw type.The sound, a sort of ticking went away as soon as I pushed it down.Hope thats it.
