I've read quite a bit out the FWD tranny problems. My 2000 180TT Quattro's clutch/tranny action is no prize winner either -- wicked slow and notchy. Particularly from 1st to 2nd or from 3rd down to 2nd. Sometimes, I get, like, "crunchy" feeling/feedback through the shifter lever. Also, the clutch is a bit "grabby" unless I work hard to really match the engine revs.

Dealer says, "They all drive like that!". Whatup??
