TT Reverse Issues
I have a 2002 Audi TT FWD and over the last week it first seemed reluctant to go into reverse. All the other gears operate normally; however, when the shifter is in the reverse position, the car acts like it is in first gear and goes forward. I've heard this might be a gear shift/selector fork issue, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions at what to look at first.

Check shift linkage adjustment per the service manual. If ok, Remove transmission to access shift fork. Inspect and replace with a steel replacement part. ECS Tuning is a suggested source.

Reverse fix on my sons car
my sons did the same thing turned out to be the shift cable bushings bought a kit from ecs tuning and two hours later shifts great
