Default TT VeTTeran BuTT TTuning Newbie - Help!

I have had my 2000 1.8TQ for going on six years and over 70,000 and am at that point where I am getting the itch for something new. But rather then that I thought, why not ad some mods and performance enhancers. Problem is I pretty much know nothing about it. I know there are tons of posts on specific parts and systems, but can someone give me a suggestion of a few things I can do to breath new life into my TT (without breaking the back and keep the look stock)?

If I "chip" it, add a new turbo or something and new exhaust what should I expect to pay? Also, any suggestions for parts and installation in the Pasadena/Burbank California area?

I know this is a bit general but some suggestions of what you guys/gals have done would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Default There is a rumor about TT owners being into BuTT TTuning. You're not helping matters!!

LOL! Sorry, just joking.

Look into these mods:

Chip ($500)
Exhaust ($700-1100)
Suspension (~$1000)

Default Mr Schwing can help get you into a "new" mode of operation with some "do it yourself" mods

My suggestion list would be.

1. chip....many to choose from $500-$600....all will chnge your TT into a fun machine

2. Boost Machine...From Steve Schwing click his sig for $

3. TTDA...From Steve

4. BAMM...From Steve

5. Front Mounted Intercooler (FMIC) $1200.00

6. Samco's....Exhaust....Suspension....Wheels....

How much do you want to spend????
