Default TTDA question >>

Is it possible to use the TTDA w/o running the 2 hoses down to the bumper/wheel well? That is, the box breathes through the 2 holes from the air in the engine compartment above the DS wheel well.

I have my stock airbox cut on that side and a K&N panel filter. This combo works well and the air in that region seems cool even after spirited drives.

Was hoping a TTDA style design with the same source air region would help breathing up top in the RPM range?

Or is there no huge benefit w/o actually running the 2 hoses down compared to my current ghetto airbox/k&n panel setup?

Tx.

Pal

Default Most of the benefits>>>>

of the TTDA are in the device itself. The cold feeds help pressurize the TTDA, which increases airflow, but the answer is yes, you can run without the hoses. I think Steve said it was 80% efficient without the hoses....

Why wouldn't you run the hoses?

Default Do quick install>>>>

Just use about two feet of hose for each...One in the wheel well and the other just under the headlight..You will still get plenty of cool air!

Without the hoses you will get more performance from a Neuspeed P-Flo.

Default oh, i know as i have the hoses routed on my car>>>>

but the question was can you run it without the hoses...and the answer is yes. The TTDA still adds a lot of performance without the feeds....most want the extra 20% or so of efficiency....not arguing, just answering...

Default 2 reasons >>>

(1) I dont like the idea of hoses down low ... hate having the thought of water being s*cked in.

(2) Some people have had to cut the wheel well and I dont want to cut and drill any sheet metal.

Default ahh no you won't..

the NO speed intake does nothing but suck in hot air. The TTDA is insulated a bit...
