Rodney Crowell's newest C.D. "Houston Kid" has a tribute cut to his ex father-in-law, Johnny Cash.
The cut is called "I Walk the LIne Revisited" It is a melody change, extreme mood change adventure about the experience Rodney Crowell had as a young boy behind the wheel of a 49 Ford when he first heard the original version. Back-up is done by Johnny Cash and this song really rocks. Crank it up and go cruising. You won't be sorry.

i've been listening to Frank Black's new album (Frank Black & the Catholics, 'Dog in the Sand')
some great driving stuff on there, especially the second to last track.
johnny cash is some good stuff, especially 'american recordings' and 'live at fulsom prison' (both of which i have on cd) but i don't care for any other country. especially not new stuff.

heard the NPR piece on the making of the record. really nice sounding. Crowell has always been a better producer than performer, but I'll pick it up.
