Wilson, you do fabulous work ...
in everthing that you've shown us. Problem is, I have no idea what a cap installation - guessing it's a capacitor for your high powered subwoofer?
Here's a project suggestion. Remove the front ashtray and fabricate (this is your forte from the looks of your work so far) a mini-guage panel to hold three 2-2/16" VDO Vision guages. I'd like turbo boost, oil temperature, and oil pressure guages. A lot of folks here would also prefer one or two cigarette lighter outlets that are hidden from view, maybe on the pass. side panel of the "Guage TTrio", a splitter could be used to plug to new outlets into the existing outlet. Some may want a digital version in red digits!
Larry told me once that the turbo boost should be in front of the driver and I agree so, if you race alot, you may want to select different guagee than I want.
I would like to see CNC aluminum (like your other project) that would install in place of the ashtray (most Americans don't smoke). It must leave enough space to access the front console compartment sliding door and would be finished to match the existing anodized brushed aluminum, and might additionally have ebony material to match the dash in the design. The shape and lines should mimic the existing dash to blend in and look factory since it is in the center of the console. The other goal would be to use existing attachment points, screwholes, etc for installation.
What do your think?
I would easily pay $150 (guages not included) if I saw this product for sale.

IsIOMan, You are right except for one thing, "Most americans don't smoke!" [more]
you are completely wrong....
I think what you meant to say is
"Most americans smoke but they don't use the ashtray" Why dirty up the interior of your car when the world is your ashtray

...at a light. Dumb *** had his head up his butt, rolled down window (in may) and flicked right across into my car.
Not the TT. If it was the TT it would have been bad, very bad. I almost swerve off the road when people toss lit cigarrette butts out the window these days
