Was hoping you kinds folks could help with some info...

****Car:
2001 225TTC

****Problem:
Stuttery whoosh sound from turbo upon throttle liftoff instead of a smooth whoosh sound. This is not the dv honk noise just in case my description is confusing.

I noticed this for the first time halfway through a hard drive with the local tt club. I know the turbo is supposed to make a woosh sound after throttle liftoff but the stutter is new and disconcerting. This never happened before yesterday. Also of note: the performance of the car appears to be unaffected.

Does anyone know what may be the cause of this?

It may "chuff" once or a few times, depending on how much pressure the DV has to vent. In my experience this is completely normal...
