Two jacks will travel...radar detector & cell phone power installed, simple...
Can't stand having that ashtray open any longer in order to plug in your radar detector or cell phone.
Here's a pretty simple auxilliary power installation you can do.
Install a Mr. Bracket two socket outlet to cover simultaneous radar detector and external cell phone power connections. If you want to dress the wiring under dash you'll need a #25 Torx driver. Suitable wiring is 14-18 gauge; I used 16 ga. (Mr. Bracket part #8943 from Pep Boys Automotive. One socket brackets also available.)
Tap into protected side of fuse #41 on left of dash for hot lead (single wire) and run behind and under dash to rear of center console. This is the cigarette lighter power supply and it yields an "always on" condition. (If you want "on/off with key," associate the hot lead with an on/off electrical function like the stereo.)
Center console dress panels remove easily in order to place bulk wiring there and tap to chassis ground. Allow enough play in the wire so that center console switch/tray can slide back easily and dress wiring bundle out of its way.
Locate the twin oulet directly beneath existing ashtray/lighter with double stick tape (provided) or Velcro sending the wiring through the rubberized dress panels. If the socket is set far enough back and on the right hand side, it does not interfere with sliding switch/tray cover or ashtray operation. Socket has red led indicating it is receiving power - fits with Audi red console lighting and also has an in-line fuse for protection.
Total install time - 1&3/4 hours and that included store time for the correct Torx driver. Parts...under $10.

Were you pedal to the metal or just cruisin'...where?
Everyone is point to Valentine One, though I'm happy with my Escort Passport 7500. However, I bought it before we knew we'd get a TT....and now I'd probably lean to the V-1 myself.
