(UPDATED) Daytime Running "Fog" Lights (DRL) Mod Completed!!
I now have my fog lights running as DRL's (Daytime Running Lights). A Nui Mahalo (Large Thanks) goes out to robbytt for the very clear instructions. & how's about a Hana Hou (Encore) Nui Mahalo for specialidiot (Jeff) because he converted it into a PDF format and is hosting the write up. This is how it will work...
1: Key in ignition turned to the final position but the car is not started: Fog lights come on
2: Ignition is started and the engine is running: Fog lights are still on.
3: Light switch turned to the parking lights position: Fog lights are still on.
4: Light switch turned to the low beams (Xenon's/HID's) position: Fog lights turn off.
5: Light switch pulled out in the fog light position: Fog lights come back on.
6: High lights engaged full time (this can only be done in the low beam position): Fog lights turn off.
7: High lights disengaged (again, only in the low beam position): Fog lights turn back on.
8: High lights are flashed: I couldn't tell if the fog lights remained on or turned off because I wasn't fast enough to run in the front of the car to see so I wouldn't know. ;-)
The write up which robbytt did is very thorough. I had some questions for him at first but since he did it a long time ago he didn't want to give me the wrong information. After reading it several times over, I slowly but surely understood how it was going to work out and it obviously worked out well. Please feel free to start asking me questions. Thanks for your help robbytt & specialidiot!!

Your solution is included in the mod...>
When the write up is posted/linked, you will see what I am talking about when I say...
But there is an Inline Fuse Holder used in this mod (from Radio Shack). When it's inspection time, pull the fuse and the fog lights work as normal. Robbytt thought of everything in the way he wanted it to work. He put a lot of thought into it.
Now if the cops would pull you over and give you a ticket that's another story. But if you don't mind me asking, why is it illegal?

Re: Your solution is included in the mod...>
Nice idea to have the ability to disable that mod when need be. I am not exactly sure why, but fogs cannot come on without the rest of the headlight. Seems strange to me but I'm sure there is a story behind the story...

Problem with Daytime Running "Fog" Lights (DRL) Mod
Hi, I did the Daytime Running "Fog" Lights (DRL) Mod today and It does not work, I verified my connections twice and everything seems to be ok, The only thing different I did from the procedure, I used a Relay of 40A instead of 10A, is that could cause the fog lights to not turn on when ignition on?
Otherwise, Do you have any idea where I should be wrong?
P.S. the only pin not connected on my relay is the 87 (open relay), is this ok?
thx
