V6 0-60 in 6.4?
The U.S. Audi website states the new 3.2 TT does 0-60 in 6.4 seconds. The 03 TT, at the same site, stated 6.3 for the turbo 4. They really should release the 6 speed manuel for the V6 as an option.

Don't get so hung up on numbers..., esp. those from the mfc....
What do they really say about the driving experience?
Yes, I would prefer a manual, myself, however. I derive a great deal of satisfcation from conventional manual transmissions.

Very true. If you think about it logically...
The 3.2 has roughly 25 more horsepower with no turbo lag and it shifts so fast that there is almost no loss of power such as experienced when depressing the clutch. Sure, it's heavier but not by much (about 80 pounds).
Logic dictates that the 3.2 should be faster than the unmodded 225. If someone wants to argue to the contrary, I can't see a logical basis for that arguement. Again, the weight differential is inconsequential and should be more than offset by the increase in HP and seamless shifting of the DSG tranny.
So I'll make my own decision when I drive, but again, logic points to the 3.2 being 2 to 3 tenths faster.
Also, with a manual tranny, there's going to be a lot of variance in your 0-60 times depending mostly on your launch. To get the best launch, you'll need to do a brutally hard high rpm clutch dump and a bit of luck. A 3.2 should do 0-60 runs in a far more consistent manner and one should be able to hit a good run without tearing the hell out of their clutch.
Both cars have pluses and minuses. However, I don't believe that an unmodded 225 is quicker than an unmodded 250 w/DSG. I'll have my 3.2 TTR in a few weeks, so anyone in SoCal who wants to challenge that statement with an unmodified 225 TTR is welcome to do so.
