Default Valentine 1 or Escort 8500 X50?
Most of the reviews I've found give the edge to the Escort. What do you guys think? What do you own?

The only thing I like about the V1 is the directional display of the radar source. I own an 8500.

Default I've got an Escort, if I bought again I'd get the V1 for the arrows.
Don't get me wrong, the Escort's detection range is excellent and it HAS saved me a few times.... but, those long range hits that you get on the highway it'd be really nice to know where it's coming from.

Default I have never tried the Escort but I am very happy my V1...

Default I have an Escort 8500 X50 and I love it!
Although the arrows would be nice... I would still buy the X50 again if I had the choice!

Is the X50 the radar/laser jammer? Did you get it hard wired yet?
