Anyone familiar with Playstation2 and the X-Box? Now that prices are coming down, I'm considering one or the other. Which do you like better and why?

Are the graphics that much better than say Nintendo64? I think the graphics are decent on N64, but obviously the software leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, the James Bond games are cool, but it seems like every other game is a Mario or Banjo Kazooie variation. TIA!

Playstation2 has some awesome games. There really isn't that much "Good Content" on the X-box, but the GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) is much better then the PS2.

I just got PS2 and have been playing GT3 non-stop. Next up is WRC and Air Combat.

Seriously I'd recommend going to your local toy shop and checking out the games section. Also get a chance to play both of them if you can.

Blows N64 away. If the game developers get off their *** and really take advantage of the Xbox hardware, it'll blow the PS/2 away.

though many people like halo on xbox (similar to bond on n64, first person shooting game).

i think the price drop of the system, and the drop of gt3 to $20 is enough to sell me on it.

while xbox has more potential, ps/2 just seems to have better games, and clearly many more choices.

...XBox! The graphics are better than the others, even considering that no games are yet available in 1080i. I've been playing the new Bond in 480i widescreen format, and it is awesome! I can't wait until new games are released which take advantage of the increased resolutions. I love playing the XBox on my home theater, the video and DD5.1 make the games so much more interesting and enjoyable.

The only cons I had against the XBox were GT3 and a quality motorcycle racing game are not available, only with PS2. Since Grand Theft Auto is coming for XBox, my decision was made. Because I'm not really into games where I have to knock .001 sec from a lap time and I'm more into games where I drive fast, crash into things, beat people and steal their cars, blow things up and shoot bad guys- XBox was the choice for me! ;-)
