Default Wet Weather Problem

Ok, past week or so the DC area has been hit with some pretty heavy rainstorms and opening the rear hatch on the TT resulted in a lot of water running into the back seats of the car.

Today I determined that the hatch was full of water! I managed to drain it by parking on an incline and removing the number plate lights and then gave it a judicious spray of WD40. Anyone have any idea of how it's getting in and how to prevent it happening again?

As an aside, I saw my wife the other day closing the lid by pulling down on the spoiler - linked perhaps?

Thanks in advance

Default Probably a break/leak in the spoiler gasket...>>

There are 6 holes through the deck holding it on...Starting to see more of this as the cars age..

remove the spoiler, fill the holes, repaint the lid.
