Default All I can tell you is my experience>>

Had 17" Michilin Pilot Sport - Loved 'em
Now have 18" Pirelli P-Zero Rosso - not so happy (constantly lose traction) even with different tire pressures. Both very quiet imo

Default quietest AND performance oriented? that's a tough one

most Vee'd tread pattern tires are pretty quiet. the typical block shaped tread definately hums more. i'd go on www.tirerack.com and look at some of the shootouts. some excellent, not very loud tires are:

Michelin Sports
Goodyear F1 (new ones)
Kumho Ecsta MX

I can tell you that Bridgestone S03s and Kumho 712s are loud on 26.

Default On 180 FWD roadster, I quite like the stock P6000s; quiet, comfortable and

handle well, though with a few major mods, though struggle to keep traction under hard acceleration, though that is obviously not a tire "problem" in the first instance. They could do better. Have worn well up to 12K, though, and hold air well.
