What is the disadvantage (or advantage) to wheels which are not 5x100 and need adapters to fit?

Default Well (IMHO)

Dis:
- One more thing to break
- introduces another variable in alignment/balance/'trueness'
- expensive generally
- unnecessary: plenty of wheel fitments available

Adv:
- More options for wheels

Most adapters are 25mm thick so depending on the starting offset it might just not work

Default One advantage is having wheel studs.
