I got mine from Top Notch Auto in Atlanta... Great experience with them...
Cost early on was over $1k per wheel, but like everything else, as time passes, pricing goes down. I've heard of these wheels going today for closer to $800 per wheel. When I got mine I got the only set in North America. But first time I saw them I knew these were the ones!
The catalytic converter on the TT as-is is a very free-flowing design. A straight-thru shot with a larger element than the inlet/outlet, and only maybe a 10" long element inside. Audi got it right on this one. You'd be hard-pressed to gain any significant amounts of HP with another cat. In fact you'd probably have a hard time picking up even 1 or 2 HP if you eliminated the cat with a piece of straight pipe of the same diameter. Cats are not what they used to be and the one Audi is using today looks just like the ones I would buy in aftermarket in the early 90's for better flow. A good stainless steel mandrel bent larger O.D. downpipe forward of the cat would be money better spent if you "must" run a cat. And if you're an environmentally conscious person, a cat today is more neurosis than real as far as it's perceptions of compromising torque/HP is concerned. Its just really not "that" restrictive on this car at all.

Re: I'm considering HRE's instead...(more)
I like the BBS wheels, but I'm considering buying a set of 18" HRE wheels for my silver TT Roadster when it comes in in May. The two I like best are the HRE 543's (10 spoke) and the 546's (6 spoke).
I'd appreciate everyone's opinion on these 2 wheels. To see them, go to www.hrewheels.com, then click on 540 Series.
Thanks!
