Default When Chipping, would I need...

... a new DV? I'm thinking about Revo, but I don't want to f#ck up my car (obviously) by having the stock DV blow. How hard is it to instal a new DV (I've yet to do any work to any engine on any car... I'm a software nerd)? Are there any other vital parts that should be swapped out? My car is Audi Assured, which I paid 1k bucks for. I'd like to keep it Audi Assured if possible (Revo seems like the best way to go... but having hoses blow and valves go out would probably be a good indicator to the dealer).

I went with Hyperboost DV and it was an easy install. You need a DV chip or not.
