My honking noise sounds like it is coming out the exhaust. Is that where others hear it? For some reason I always thought I should hear it coming from the engine compartment in front of me. I've been blaming my noises on my Borla exhaust. The more I hear it, the more I think the noise my car is making at 3-4k RPM at moderate throttle is the DV.

Does that sound right?

you should hear it coming from the engine compartment. it is possible the noise is echoing through the exhaust since the DV is in a hose connceted to the turbo which is connected to the exhaust. But chances are it is the DV.

lately mostly from the oultlying areas of Kabul, Kandahar and Rishkor but it moves around alot;-)

I have been reading about this honking noise since I bought my car a few months ago.

My TT has begun making a different noise for a while now, but I assumed it was from the K&N air filter that I put in.

Anyone have a sound clip of this honk? I think I'm getting paranoid ... Ok, I gotta go drive the car to see if the sound indeed sounds like a honk.
