Default Where to get best price on brake pads on the internet???

I would like to put Mintex redbox pads on the front and rear of my TT. My fronts have Stoptechs.

Just wondering where everyone has found good prices and service on brake pads.

Thx, John

Default For Porterfield Pads goto...

www.myroadster.net

I got my pads from Jerry (the owner) for my Stoptechs and stock rear calipers.

Default Sang - how do you like the Porterfields - i'm still undecided on whether or not

i like the Axxis pads that came with my StopTechs. Also - do you have to do the bedding procedure with the Porterfields as well? Thanks.

Default Obviously not Sang but your ? on Porterfields>>>

I really like the pads and are very good performers under heavy braking...and yes the bedding procedure is pretty much the same for all performance pads...go to the link Sang noted and that procedure is spelled out

Default Heh - Michael - did you go straight to Porterfields or did you have the Axxis first?

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is. The Axxis seem like they had decent initial bite - but it's mid pedals stroke bite that seems a little poor. Hard to describe. I haven't gotten them good and hot yet - except for the bedding. Just wondering what the difference was/is. Thanks.

Default I have the Axxis pads on my StopTechs. I have been happy with them except the dust is pretty bad!

I had Porterfields on the front before I got my StopTechs and they were great except they squealed A LOT. That is the only reason I am reluctant to get the Porterfields for my StopTechs. I love the fact that the Porterfields produce little to no dust. I have them on the rear and my rear wheels never have dust on them.

Default I had the porterfields on my stock brakes and love them then, love them even more

on the StopTechs. I haven't had the squeal problem that others have reported. The shop that installed them did the "bedding" procedure. The owner is a former track junkie, so he did the bed-in procedure properly.

I went straight to the porterfields and still have the Axxis pads in the box.

Default Dust doesn't bother me - noise does - i've heard that Porterfields are noisy and i've heard the

opposite as well. I was just curious to hear peoples experiences that have used both.
