Where are the VW/Audi Tech PDFs? The link I had is now broken and the other is pay per view.

Default you're right, but this has been happening for the past few months . . .

The site used to be tech.vw.com, then it became www.vwwebsource.com, then they switched it to http://www.vwwebsource.com/vwtechcontent/ Now they locked it up once again!

Give them time and it should unlock, but I am sending an e-mail to get it opened up once again.

Default VOICE your displeasure

An ealier meddage discussed this.

Even the backup at www.vwwebsource is now password protected.

I told Audi that the availability of the TBs positively influinced my purchase decision. Removing access was a step in the wrong direction.

I bet the DEALERS are behind this. They don't want "informed customers" who KNOW when the Haldex System is supposed to get an oil & filter change.

Earlier Link

Default I think that vwwebsource.com is a private person's web site, hosting PIRATE copies...

...of the VW TSB's. Why??? For one thing, they mis-spelled VOLKSWAGEN in their domain name registry. Another reason is because I don't think that even VW is stupid enough to use a San Diego mailing address (probably Mailboxes Etc judging by the "suite") when their corporate offices are in Michigan.....

Registrant:
Volkswagon of America, INC. (VWWEBSOURCE-DOM)

Default I had heard that VW/Adui contracted the site out to a private company

VW Websource is that company.

Default That's funny, because my sources say that Dyment Distribution Services has an exclusive...

...contract with VWofA to distribute/sell TSB's. If anybody was hosting these documents, it would be Dyment. My sources also say that the reason why tech.vw.com is closed is because Dyment insisted to VW that it be done. Of course, my sources could be wrong, but I doubt it. (My sources advised me to keep a nightly "slurp" on it to keep it mirrored until it was locked!)

Vwwebsource.com smells so fishy that it's turning on blind lesbians in Maine..... :-)
