Default The whining noise I was asking about last week turned out to be the front driver wheel bearing....It

was so noisy yesterday that I stopped by the dealer to have them look at it. They found the bearing in rather bad shape but did not have one in stock. They could not explain how this might have happened, first time they had seen a bearing failure on a TT. I had to leave the car there it should be ready today I hope!

Default I probably misled the dealer the first two times I brought it in by suggesting the exhaust..... but

this time the bearing was so bad I could feel it in the steering wheel and had no trouble convincing them it was related to the speed of the car as opposed to the engine speed.

Default the whining noise in my tt turned out to be my daughter and her friend...took them home...

and it stopped! :-)
