I just installed the Borla with Resonator on my...
2001 TTQC and am very pleased. I too was concerned about an aftermarket exhaust being too loud. That is one of the reasons I wanted one with a resonator. The Borla was priced right (AWE $580) so I elected to "take a chance". The sound is only slightly louder than stock. I find it quite pleasing, even with the windows down. Only thing I would add is the front hanger (near the front of the mid-pipe) but I guess some of the TT's do not have this mounting bracket (mine did). However, the system is so much lighter than the stock system that I am not concerned about not having the front hanger. Haven't seen the other exhausts such as APR and FM but can't imagine them being so much better as to justify the significant additional cost.
