who thinks fixing a boost leak
can make the intake (MAF) hose collapse - or be noticed when it wasn't noticed before?
Symptoms are "redline" effect around 5k or so?

I have a similar problem also
I too had a boost leak repaired and now experience a strange problem similar
to yours.
When My car sits for several days, I loose boost after about 30-45 minutes
of driving the first time out (like there is some sort of limp mode
activated). Once it acts up the only way I have found to correct it is to
shut off the ignition and restart at a light, etc. I don't have any more
problems the rest of the day.
I still need to hook up my VAG to see if there are any codes etc, but the
gauges were all normal at the time.
Since it rights itself after a reboot ;-) I was thinking of trying a new MAF or an N75 but would be interested in what you learn as well.
Thanks!
