who wants some bean water?
i've been buying my beans from 'back chat' in yellow springs. very good stuff and pretty fairly priced (though if purchased in a local grocery instead of directly through them, beans cost $10/pound).
incidentally, they suggest a coarse grind for french presses, but i've always just ground mine all to heck because i figured the sludge at the bottom gave the last cup that extra *kick* often needed to get me moving. is this the action of an uncouth heathen?

back chat

NONSENSE! The fiber is good for you - one cannot live on a diet of raw fish alone!
Just bring me something full-bodied and with relatively low acidity in a dark roast and then bring some more of it - pronto! :-)
Hey YCC you should try roasting your own beans - heh, heh... :-)

but i can't afford a roaster...
and besides, i'm lazy... i wouldn't even grind my own beans if i couldn't taste the difference... that, and i have a grinder, so i figure that i may as well use it. i mean, people get paid to know how to roast beans, right? just because i have an oven, it doesn't mean that i can be a baker! well, i could be a baker, but i wouldn't be as good as the really cool guy who owns the bakery up the street.
*and i'm glad you saw the post about the fish, btw! i still owe you an e-mail -- in progress.*
