Default Window Question on '01 TT

Hi All,

My wife has the 2001 TT coupe and her windows started acting strangely. When closed they go all the way to the top and then back down to 1/2 way - We can't close them all the way. When opened they will go all the way down and stay there. The failure happens when we use the 'one-touch' or when the whitch is held up. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Ray

Default Control Module

I've heard of this and I've experienced similar problems with my windows, but not as extreme. I spoke to the tech. at my dealer and Audi knows it's a problem, but do not have a fix yet. It's a control module that manages the locks, windows, etc... Example, every now and then my doors don't unlock with the electronic button, I have to manually open them with the 'double' flick of lever. It only acted up when I first got the car and thankfully hasn't come back to haunt me in a while. It doesn't hurt to point it out the dealer, next time you're in...

Default I had that too -- just reset the windows.....

by holding the buttons in the 'up' position for several seconds. It usually resets and is fine for a couple of months.

Default Yup, been there....I believe its the pinch-protection malfunctioning, you can try --- >

resetting the windows.....to do this, raise window all the way up, keep holding "up" on button for about 5 seconds after it is all the way up. Repeat in window down position. This worked for me at first....but problem re-manifested after a month or two. Took car to dealer, they replaced window motor on passenger side. No more problems in almost a year.
