I would need something bigger than an intersection for that.

Default Not fun with the wrong tires on the car...........

Last Wednesday we got a very late start heading out of town and we thought we would miss the snow. I got caught having a set of ultra high summer performance tires, Sumo, HTRZII in 245/40/18's on the car and trying to drive in 3-4" of snow. Sliding all over the place and car would hardly stop. Giving Haldex and ABS their best workout along with my driving skills. All this included one very scared wife. Got through that snow without damage but certainly 150 miles to remember.

Night before last I'm watching TV and on comes the advisory that we were to get 2-5" of snow. Immediately to the garage and swapping wheels and tires. I put the Nokians with 6 spoke wheels on and then went for a little ride in 2" of snow. I couldn't make the back in come around and the car would stop without ABS kicking in. Absolutely amazing how the correct tires does in this type of weather.
