I think its a smart move on their part.
Millions spent save tens of millions in potential lawsuits and missed business.

Audi announced the ESP US retrofit option well in advance of the Firestone problems.

I see no connection with ESP. Mk II suspension mods were response to handling "problem".

Right, even though the new 'Exploders' will have ESP.
