Would the car warn me if I needed rear break pads/rotors change?
I am getting more paranoid about the dealer's notifying me over the phone that I needed rear pads/rotors changed. I had left the car for 40K service and they called me back:
service: Your front and rear breaks are gone.
me: The car never told me I needed that.
service: [Talking to other people] Oh, not the fronts? You need the rears changed.
me: I never got a warning.
service: There are no sensors on the rear breaks
me: Ok; chang them. (I am stupid.)
The question is: Does the car have rear break sensors that would warn me if they needed to be replaced?
Thank you,
Ali

I got the same story from the dealer at 40K service, but -->
it would be cheaper if you go with aftermarket brakes (rotors and pads), dealer wanted almost $900 for new front rotors and all 4 pad sets , including resurfacing the rear rotors. If you go with aftermarket brakes (rotors are aroung $180-$220/pair) and pads you'll get better performance and save some $$
