Would you pay 600 bucks for a boost gauge?

You gotta pay to play. Some like the really trick stuff which this obviously>>
is, and some like to go the cheaper route. I don't think either way is wrong, whatever floats yer boat. This thing obviously took a little thinking, and R&D to produce. I'm sure you'd say that it's only 40 bucks worth of parts and you could build em and sell em for 80, but can you??
I think being fully integrated into the dash cluster is sweet, and it's obviously high quality. You don't have to put any holes in anything, you have the display right under your tach arm, etc... real clean. For some it might be worth the dough to have it integrated.

Jason, is it all you can do to bash Strat??? If you don't like them or their pricing...
policy, then don't buy from them.... they provide a service and a level of customer support to the Audi community that is far above what others provide... some of us will pay for stuff that WORKS and ARRIVES when promised.... If you have a hangup about that, then that is your problem....

Yo Pope..... There's currently a Trackmagic 80cc Dragon Shifter>>>

in the Oregon Karting classifieds that sounds like a nice piece. The chassis is very similar to mine, and I love it. Here's the URL for that>>>

But... that chassis will not accomodate a 125 shifter if that's what you're looking for. If you're already got experience in karting, or extensive car/track work, a shifter might be the way to go.
BUT!!! May I suggest a schweeeeet alternative?? Have you heard of the Rotax Max Challenge? It's a new class which is awesome. The engine is built by Rotax, obviously, and produces about 33 HP, compared to about 36-37 in a 125 shifter car. The difference is that it's a centrifical clutch, and has an onboard starter. It's become VERY popular due to the fact that it's a sealed engine which keeps the playing field even, they run pretty damn well without all the BS of maintaining a motorcycle engine like you have in a shifter, cost of operating is lower, and you can start yourself anywhere on the track without getting out of the kart. Very nice setup. The other part that makes it appealing to those of us who aren't 18, or waifs, is that most of the chassis designed to run the Rotax are a bit wider. I went with a Trackmagic chassis because it's an American built chassis. The American chassis typically have a bigger "drivers area" than the Euro karts do. I'm 6'3" and about 215lbs, so room matters. I looked into a Swiss Hutless, cause they're fast at my track up here, but they'd have to cut off the front porch (drivers foot compartment), and extend it. Just couldn't see cutting up a brand new chassis. Trackmagic builds a Rotax specific chassis which is killer! Or you can fit it into a Dragon or Spitfire chassis if you find one of those used. Here's a pic of the Trackmagic Dragon chassis fitted with the Rotax Max engine for the Jim Russell racing school. Killer setup! Quiet, fast, low maintenance.
However..... before you do anything, e-mail me at bfisk@hotmail.com. I'd like to get a little 411 from you before steering you anywhere.
As an added bonus.... did you happen to see my post to you in the AMC homage the other day. That AMX3 was kinda neat! If not... follow the link.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/679647.phtml</a
