Default Xenons are getting dim -- time to replace. Anyone have opinions of 5000K over the stock 4300K?

I realize that the higher the kelvin, the lower the output, but the "bluer" the color. Is 5000K noticeably dimmer than the 4300K? My current bulbs are getting so dim I think anything new would be an improvement at this point...

Default i put in 4300k as my replacement...

only because here in nyc there are SO MANY cars running 'blue' xenons....like REALLY blue xenons and fake xenons....it's completely annoying.

the 4300k are mainly white with a touch of light blue in em...and in front of all these faker/super-highK blue blue xenons and halogens...i think the 4300k carries much more class and dignity.

furthermore, i really do think the 4300k put out a much nicer, more illuminating light.

Did you notice if they are dimmer than stock?

Default Not anymore noticeble than my OEM were. But my OEMs were 9 years old.>>>

My friends measured the distance of the lights, stock vs. new 6000K and they were about the same. You will get more of a blue-ish/white-ish mixture (diamond white) compared to the 4300K which I really like. I've found that when the lights are used in combination with the fog lights, the color of the light overall is more brighter and clearer. But all in all I am happy with the 6000K. Not too blue, not too dim, but different and a refreshing change from the 4300K. Hope this helps.

Default Class? Dignity? Hmmm

Yeah I would like to avoid the excessively blue color, which I think gets a bit on the ricey side, so I was thinking the 5000Ks might be a good compromise of brighter white without getting too blue. But I definitely need to get the brightness back that my xenons used to have, so maybe the 4300s are the best option. I almost have to drive with the high beams to see anything now.

Default i think meem put 5000k in.

when do you know when to change it. difficult to tell how much loss of output it gets during the years. does the bulbs just get dimmer? or dimmer and then burn out?

Default Mine aren't burned out, but they are definitely dimmer. It has been gradual but has gotten to the

point that it is getting difficult to see what is up ahead, which makes me nervous at highway speed.

Yes they are pitted and I'm sure that doesn't help. However, the bulbs are 8 years old...
