Default You can beat these

Go to court. Don't inform anyone of the mistake beforehand.

Basically, if there is a major mismatch, you can get it dismissed just by showing your license and registration to the judge. Make a photocopy of the ticket you signed. Don't trade with the guy in the red Golf, regardless of the information on there - keep what you were given.

Ok, thanks. This sounds like the best plan yet!

Default I had this exact scenario happen to me. The judge quickly took the wind out of my sail.

After politely listening to my story with his arms folded across his chest and staring so intently at me that I thought he was counting fissures on the back inside surface of my skull, he told me, in no uncertain terms, that he didn't give a flying sh*t if I was driving a purple VW with magenta polka dots. He simply declared me guilty, told me where to pay the fine + court costs, slammed the gavel, and told me to get out of his courtroom. I had photos of my blue Mustang (ticket said red 300 ZX) in the exact place I was pulled over (ticket said busy urban street, it was actually a deserted country road next to a dairy farm).

I hope this situation turns out differently - and it might if you hire a lawyer. Good luck - and let us know how it turns out!!

Maybe if you get a good lawyer. I get a lawyer for every ticket regardless.
