2008 - 2009 DSG Shift ball swap tomorrow
I am taking my car in tomorrow for an oil change and to get the shift ball swapped. We will know for sure tomorrow if it is possible. It took 2 weeks to get the 2009 shift ball.

Let us know of the outcome. Ive been wanting to do this also.
Prefer to change it myself and save the money. On all my BMWs you just pull straight up really hard and it pops off. Not sure of how the Audis are though.

That is why I am going to have them do it. They told me $75. The **** was $120.

Audi just called the swap is done. I am glad I had them do it. The part is the ball and the entire shift boot. Sounds like a PITA to do. Well worth the $75 they charged. I will take some pics and post them after lunch. The bottom line is yes you can swap an 08 DSG shift ball with an 09 shift ball. This is my first experience with Millennium Audi, It took them all of an hour and 1/2 to do the shift ball and change my oil. I am definitely taking it back there for all my service.
