2010 TTS Horroble Ride Quality
I guess I made the mistake of testing a MK3 and buying an MK2 (prefer the styling). It's a 2010 TTS with 30K miles. according the service history the car got new shocks at 25K.
The ride in either comfort or sport is simply horrible. The car doesn't soak up anything and crashes over every bump. My last three cars (M-Coupe, Cooper S and 135i) have all been lowered and otherwise modified so I am used to a firm ride.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'll make a service appt next week to have it checked out. I was actually considering the MSS spring set but now I'm not so sure.
Shame, it's a gorgeous car.

Double check part numbers to ensure the right shocks were used. Check condition of springs, but mostly, get under the car with a pry bar and factory manual and start checking all the bushings
just drove a 10 with aftermarket 20’s (BBS) and summer tires, with stock shocks and eibach springs, 105k miles, and it worked quite well. But every bushing has been replaced in the last 5k Miles

I'm going to take the car over to BAR Tuning in Houston and have them go over the car's suspension in detail before I do anything else. They seem to be a well respected independent shop that does a lot of Audi work.

Based on inspection it looks like one front front strut was replaced on the car but incorrectly installed with an impact wrench that damaged it. This would explain the very hard impacts I have been experiencing.
Glad something was found, I was starting to think that this kind of ride quality was the new normal. Looking forward to enjoying my "new" TTS.
