About to buy a Lotus Elise, then saw these two Audi TTS.
While I'm still curious what you think about the used Elise vs the 11+ TTS. I believe the Elise has to wait for now.
Anyways, I'm looking at 2 Audi TTS and would like to pick one in the next week:
From my research I've found that they are basically the same trim car a few years apart as the prestige package became standard in 2014 models.
Assuming I cannot negotiate the price down on either, which would you buy?
The 2014 right!? Well, that's the catch. The 2014 has a "branded-title" I'm still waiting on details, but either way this means that neither car comes with a warranty.
If there is anything I left out that is important, please ask me.
Anyways, I'm looking at 2 Audi TTS and would like to pick one in the next week:
- 2011 TTS Prestige. 63k-miles. $26k (asking)
- 2014 TTS. 19k-miles. $30k (asking) *branded-title

I wouldn't buy the branded title vehicle. In case you are ever looking to resell, the value is that vehicle will be 1/2 of a clean vehicle. Plus there are all sorts of reasons why it was branded to start with and some vehicles which such titles are imho not worth the risk of every driving on public roads.
I have called and I'm waiting to get specifics on why it is branded. I'll update.

If you really want performance find a used ttrs. You can get one for 30-35k
The ttrs will be significantly faster and with a simple APR tune it can tie the r8.
Turbo 5 cylinder. Going to be my next car unless I get the mk3 tt and give it a tune
My TT has a rebuilt title. It drives and looks perfect. I got it for 60% what other dealers had it for. Unless you drive a ton of miles every year (depreciates less if you buy it cheap) I would avoid anything but a clean title. It had some little issues like plastic pieces falling off floorboard and a broken mount for taillight that came loose. Resale you will lose hard on if you don't get it for like half price.
No matter which model you get enjoy! The tt is an awesome car and much more comfortable and practical then the lotus elise.
