Default Brake lights

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the brake lights on a TT? Is there some way I can install a switch easily?
Also, any info on whether I can just pull a fuse? And if so, which one? How to put back in would be nice as well. Just needs to be out for ohhh, about 6 hours...
Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like dirty business...

You should be able to pull the fuse (in the number 2 position in the panel on the driver's side end of the dash) that controls the Brake Light Switch. Unfortunately the ABS Control Module is also on the same fuse. You will likely get all sorts of lights and warnings on your dash at that point.

Thanks Tony!
So I take it by pulling the fuse, ABS goes off as well? (yes, I can be obtuse at times...)

Yes, you'll lose the ABS and likely throw codes. Anyone with a VAG-COM cable can clear them for you.

Or, as mentioned on another forum, you can remove the Brake Light Switch. It's on the master cylinder. Send me an email or PM if you need more info.
