The perspective was driving based - not on the interior aesthetics...
...in terms of driving dynamics, the main "technology" differences are the ASF and the optional magnetic suspension - and obviously they both contribute to my feeling that the GTI is very close to the 2.0TT, but not quite its equal. The questions is, "Is the mk2 2.0TT a 10,000+ dollar superior driving experience?", not to my mind...
