Typical is about 1 quart per 10,000 miles up to 100k miles. Check with dealer. I thought there was a recall for some early Mk 2 TT engines with high oil use.

thank you
We are in New Zealand and have been raising with the Audi agents and seemed to get fobbed off
we do have a warranty on this
It disturbing to have the oil light come on when only have done 2609 and go in to the dealership
for them to look at it and get charged $132-00 for the oil

Do you notice smoke coming out of the exhaust during initial acceleration from a stop? If so, check your spark chambers for an oil leak. If there is oil there change the valve gasket and possibly use copper RTV to help seal it off. I also would suggest adding some liquid moly stop smoke to your oil as it will help with all other areas such as piston rings to prevent oil leaking there.
