Greetings All,

If you saw the following in a Carfax report, what would you think?

Would not bother me. Obviously the owner was pleased with the repair or he would have dumped it 3 years ago. Call the service manager at Circle Imports and ask if the car had any non-routine services. Discount the Blue Book price because the car is not accident free. Have a body shop look at the repair before you buy.

The problem with Carfax is you have little indication of the severity of a wreck other than "air bags did/did not deploy". So the accident could have been anywhere from a light paint scrape to frame damage.

YEP they also put " Structural Damage " for a parking lot hit on the left rear 1/4 panel unibody diminished value

My current TT carfax reported a rear end accident, but the owner had the car for an additional 2 years and was sold certified from Audi dealer with low mileage. I'm actually the 3rd owner. Bought the TT with 43k plus miles, pretty good for a 7 year old car. Still drives nice and tight.
