Default Re: Coupe or Sedan?

I'm actually looking at the sedan, mainly because of the amazing lease rates. I think it is an attractive car, but the tt is gourgeous. I personally think the 335 coupes are just about the best looking cars on the road. However the deals on them aren't quite as nice and I don't understand buying 2 door cars which are large.(not trying to start any flame wars, it's just not for me to have anything but a small car with only two doors)

Optioned how I want I the 2.0t (at 1k over invoice) is about 575 a month.(no money down leases) I can do the same money(or slightly better) on the 335 sedan.

Default I really considered an MCoupe but ... 1) Brand Loyalty 2) I got 10% off MSRP.

At those prices, it was a no brainer to go TT.

Default If I could get 5% off msrp I'd take it...

Obviously a deal that you guys got it would be a no brainer. Every percent discount off msrp makes a signficant cost savings for a lease.(since on a lease you are paying the difference between what your agreed price is and residual value at the end of the lease + interest)

Since the 2.0ts are not as expensive as 3.2s you aren't going to see the same huge % savings as there is less margin; but are there people out there getting 5% off ordered 2.0ts?

Default Getting back to the main question...

Why would you pay even $1 over invoice? I spent one afternoon on the phone contacting the 10 closest Audi dealers to my home and got a faxed $1250 offer off my special order 2.0 TT. I went back to my local dealer and he matched the best price. Anyone can and should do this. Shop around, there are good, Audi dealers out there who will take a discount on a $40,000 sale.

Default Correction:

I'm sorry, I mis-read your post. You said "invoice" not "sticker." My error.

Default Friends and family... that's how people get those discounts.

Can I be your friend? j/k
I know a guy with S4. Can someone like him refer me?

I really want TT and my wife almost gave in, but then the price is the major [negative] factor for me now. Regardless of the looks I can get a more or less loaded (Sport package, etc.) 335i twin-turbo coupe for less than a loaded 3.2 TT. $50K OTD for a , well, refined and flawless Golf?
