Random Downshifting
Hi all - new here and have been searching the forums but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for....
I have an 08 TT 2.0 FSI, bought used about a year ago. Lately when I drive in "manual" mode using the paddle shifters I'm having a problem. I work through the gears no problem, but when cruising along in 6th gear the car will suddenly downshift into 5th with a jerk. Not accelerating, not going uphill, just randomly drops down a gear.
Haven't had any real problems in full auto mode, other than shifts from 1-2 and 2-1 seem a bit clunky.
Any ideas on what might be going on?
