transmission not engaging
My '09 TT 2.0T quattro coupe has 700+ miles on it. It's been great up until today. I was stopped in traffic. When I pressed on the accelerator, the engine revved, but the car did not move. The gear selector display at the bottom of the instrument cluster started flashing; then the whole display started flashing; and finally there was a message to apply the foot brake. I pumped the brake three or four times until the display returned to normal, and then I drove off. Thinking that this might have something to do with the launch control (which I have not yet used) I checked the esp button to see if it was engaged, and it was. This happened two more times while stopped in traffic, and once while driving along. I've spoken with the service manager at the local dealership, and have set up an appointment for tomorrow morning. Has anyone in the forum experienced anything like this?

I've not heard of any -- Could be any number of things including:
1) low fluid levels in the DSG(not reaching sufficient hydraulic pressure)
2) incorrectly adapated dsg(clutch engagement point calbirated in correctly etc)
3) faulty mechatronics unit(the separate ECU for the DSG)
4) Any number of sensors gone bad which is affecting the ECUs ability to control the clutches properly.
Hopefully the dealership takes care of you quickly. Let us know what happened after you get it back!

Similar symptons, mechatronic unit replaced
I had something similar happen to me. Starting off from a light, feels like the shift into 2nd gear didn't work right, car won't go over 20 mph, engine is revving high, and the gear indicator dash display blinks. I stop, turn it off, back on and drive away as normal.
After the first incident, the dealer re-installed the software that controls the transmission. After second incident, they decide the mechatronic unit is bad and order a new one from Germany. No problems since then.

Update
The diagnostics showed that there were two fault codes neither of which had anything to do with my problem. Audi instructed the dealership to clear the codes, drive the car to try to duplicate the problem, and to diagnose the car after driving it. As so often happens, the problem did not reoccur. Audi instructed the dearlership to return the car to me. I picked it up yesterday, and have not had any problems yet.
