Mr. RagTTop!, there is another way to get it done if you want this feature. You can get ahold of Lanny @ EuroParts (webby below) and have him do a "Video In Motion" coding on your RNSE for around $150- and then you just buy an adapter like this PCCM unit. Easy as pie and buckets cheaper too!

What's almost? The B6/B7 A4/S4..MkII TT.. A3.. a lot of cars use the RNS nav+ ..including the Lambos
...they all have to be reflashed I believe (not that difficult)... and the car would have to be vag-com'd.. but if someone was looking to upgrade, it'll work.

..monster? I didn't get the nav+ in my S4 (went through custom route).. but did get it in my TT...
and it's pretty nice in the TT... in the S4 the screen is too far away and the newest nav+ has features they didn't have in 05-06... still not to the level of MMI or a touchscreen like I have in my S4... but I actually like it for as much as I end up using everything. I've found out one thing in the last 4 years... I wind up just listening to 3 xm channels and that usually does it for me..

..let me give you some advise...
Yeah, I went the single DIN, fold-out screen approach on my B7 and I only did it becuase back in 2005, there really wasnt' any good aftermarket double DIN units that were just the screen and everything behind that... if you have the room, I'd stay double DIN if you really don't like the nav+... The double DIN units just look a LOT more OEM and it's the one thing I wish I did because just after I got my stereo done, a bunch of double DIN nav screens started to pop up and I wasn't about to just throw another one in there. If you're worried about someone stealing it... guess what.. theifs find it easier to steal aftermarket units anyway because they know they could sell them to anyone... if it looks like it's OEM and just for an Audi TT... it limits what they can do with it. So going single DIN with the fold out screen is going to look a lot more interesting to someone like that. I have a little faceplate on mine that comes off to prevent theft, but come on... I think I took it off once and realize how dumb that is. If someone breaks into my S4, I better hope they steal the whole thing...the stereo will be the least of my concerns...
...now if I was sticking a $2k nav/dvd unit in a 94 civic.. you best believe I'd have the best security I could have on it..
