Just register at my.audi.com and download the 2018-2019 map. All of North America is 10.2 GB but you can also download only the regions you need. It can be installed in the car via USB or SD card.

Note a good answer. Audi insists that updates for the 2016 Audi TT are not available online. Audi Palo Alto says I must order the updates and schedule a service appointment for installation. And it costs in excess of $300. What a joke.

Yikes. I have a 2016 TT and just downloaded the new maps to check when I saw your message.

I can still download the 2018 full map package. Just tested same.

Lol ok then, take your own advice or go to a different forum. Literally everyone's been able to do it on their's, so why are you even asking?

It will run the program you downloaded from my.audi.com, ask you to login again and then you're on your way. The full North America download is 10 GB so have a big SD card or USB stick handy. Otherwise, you can just download the region you want, most are about 1 GB or so.

Post-download and Java decompression, be reminded to have the 2 folders and 2 files at the root of the drive (best alone on the drive/card/stick) and to have the drive MSDOS FAT32 formatted (can be done from a Mac, again just note the format type).
See my link above for some helpful in-car photo's of installation progress.
