Default 2016 TTS Wheel Bearing Issues?

Are there any known issues with these cars and wheel bearing going out? I just got it a couple weeks ago
and it has a sound like the one or both of the front wheel bearings maybe going out(at least I hope that's all it is)
car only has 34k miles on it, I rotated the tires but, the noise is still coming from the front so I don't think it's tires.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but my '16 TT has a roaring rear bearing. 71k miles. I looked into replacing it myself, but it looks to be a real headache, and not very good tutorials on Youtube on the TT or A3 or Golf R. If anyone has tips, I'm all ears.

One way to verify it's the bearing and not tires is to "weave" your car through a parking lot or quiet road. If the sound volume changes between left and right turns, it is likely a wheel bearing. TT wheel bearing issues are not common, but my Mk 2 needed the fronts replaced at around 60K miles.

IMO - fairly easy, its a bolt in bearing, do yourself a favor and buy a bearing and hub as one unit. Takes about an hour to swap it out. Hardest part is working around the CV axle to get access but that isn't too bad. Will need some triple square sockets, XZNs, if you don't have them you might not be at the right level to tackle the job (or at least have not done a lot of work on german cars)
