I didn’t know this until last year, but it is the temp that determines when you should be driving on winters vs summers. all seasons are essentially summer rubber with smaller sipes. once the temps are consistently over 45 switch to summers. if still consistently dipping below 45 keep the winters on. if you only drive mid day you will switch sooner because it is warmer during the day, but if you have early am and night driving, you will be switching later.
I was running Michillen Aplins in the stock 255 30 20.

Bought the car in November in another state, has the dealership put them on as I live in the upper Midwest.

Drove as much as I could in the winter, wind cills in the -20s, ice, snow with no issue. We did drive the wife's Subaru if we were expecting 3+ inches of snow in a storm as ground clearance and impacting the intercoolers/radiators was a concern.

Am actively waiting as 265 30 20 PS4 All Seasons are being put on. With the short summers and still having temps below freezing at night summers just don't make sense to me

The PS4 All Season is good. 265 30 20 is about a half inch wider and 1/3 of an in larger in dia - and it is common for audi to only leave 12mm clearance between the closest part of the inside of the front tires and the suspension, so verify fit!
